I have had the exact same issue after completing the firmware update today - resulting in a useless watch!

Todays firmware has locked up my watch and made it useless! Any chance you will drop a quick fix to this as I have a round later today?

This was my first GPS golf watch purchase, Shot Scope was awesome in fixing a putter dongle issue I had but at this point I am regretting the purchase....I understand its a new model but consistent issues and now a completely locked up watch have soured me.

To everyone with the frozen screen...google firmware in the search on Shot Scopes sight, they are aware of the issue and there is already a fix, click the link and it will walk you through the steps to fix the issue....best of luck!

    Hi Bruce,

I'm really sorry but there was an error with the firmware file that was uploaded to the app. This has been corrected now but we need to first revert the firmware on your watch to the original firmware so we can then get you to go back and update the watch to the correct recently released firmware. Below are the steps we need you take:

Step 1 - Revert the firmware on the watch.

    - Make sure the watch is turned off
    - With the screen off, hold down the bottom left and right buttons
    - Whilst still holding down those buttons, press the top left button once and then release. A V3 logo should appear on the screen. If this does not appear then start from the beginning.
    - Continue to hold down these two bottom buttons for 40 seconds. This should reset the firmware
    - After this is done, connect the watch to the mobile app and update the firmware/go through on boarding. It is very important to do this straight after the reset so this can fix the issue.

Its not the easiest process by design so you may need a few attempts at this but it does work. Thanks for your patience.

Step 2 - Connect the watch to the app and update the firmware

If you are unsure on how to do this or need a reminder there is instructions here - https://support.shotscope.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005830629-How-do-you-update-the-watch-s-firmware-

Your watch should now be working and have the most recent firmware update. Again we would like to apologise and thank you for your patience and understanding.

    Kind regards,

    Neil

There are quite a few of us where the watch has frozen during today's update and we can't use the watch, even after reset

This isn't working for me. When I hold the bottom left and right buttons, nothing changes after 40 seconds. If I continue to press them another 15 or so seconds the screen just turns off and when I turn if back on I'm right back to where I started. Please help.

Are you pressing the top left button long enough whilst holding the two bottom buttons?
It says to press once but I needed to hold it for a second before it worked?

I press and hold bottom two (just for a second) then also press and release the top left. (This results in the screen appearing with V3.) then I continue holding the bottom two for forty seconds (nothing changes). Did your screen not appear without holding for a second? Also, what happens with yours after the forty seconds have passed?
