The following article explains why the straps on V3, G3 and V2 are configured the way they are.
Although it might look wrong, the watch straps are on the correct way for our products to work. The watch uses RFID technology housed in the strap (the strap without the buckle) therefore this strap has to be on the side closest to where the tags pass when in your clubs (V3 and V2). As a result, we have had to design the watch strap differently to most watches.
The straps can’t be swapped over or adapted in anyway as this could damage the watch and cause the watch to malfunction. Please do not attempt to adjust or change the straps as this will void your warranty.

This might be a design feature, but it should be improved.
I found my strap continually becoming unbuckled because it is not strong enough to hold all the time.
Slight annoyance.
I agree, its a very poor design, forever catching the strap and it becomes unbuckled.
what happens when strap wears out ?
My strap has broken, Where can I get a new one?
Can't find anything on this website.
The strap retaining lug on my watch has now pinged out completely whilst playing and got lost, can I get a replacement, if so where from, if not can i have a replacement watch as its still under guarantee and no longer usable..

Very poor design indeed. It's coming out too often since the long strap get into clothes and things easily. That's why every watches are designed that way.
Yeah. I thought the problem was my small wrists but the catch on the buckle doesn't sit comfortably and the clip at the end of the other strap won't stay in place. Continually catches on clothing when putting on / taking off sleeved tops and waterproofs.
Needs a re-think.
We have redesigned the strap peg to be a little bigger and this had improved the performance of the strap considerably. If you email us at support@shotscope.com we will send you out a new strap peg free of charge.
