Is there any way to get stableford points on my scorecards?

I just received my v3 today. It’s awesome, barely felt it on my wrist, screen is readable in any light and the pin collect is such a good design (just need to remember to collect 😂). However I thought a stableford would be standard (I didn’t even look to see if it was included). I’ve been able to get SI and stableford info on the app GolfShot+ for a long time now. I was hoping I wouldn’t need to still use that app and have everything collected with one solution. Surely stroke index per tee is something on scorecards and hence easily accessible? Could this even be something you can utilise the community to collect the data (It’s in our interests to collect and share e.g. submit a card for SI capture? And for those global courses you don’t have then stableford function Is not available? It seems like such an easy win if your software can handle the additional rows for SI/hcap shots per hole/nett score/stableford points (Could even toggle that data if becomes messy visually (GolfShot display it quite neatly, can share a screenshot if needed). Feel free to contact.

This is a major feature missing from my perspective. Golfshake have stroke indexes, so I don't see why Shot Scope can't?

Why don't you just add it as an option when creating tees? Yesterday I had to create a set of tees for Westerhope Golf Club - would have been no problem to put stroke indexes in at the same time.

The app needs Stableford scoring. How do other apps such as Hole19 have the SI for all their courses? Heck I would even be happy adding them in myself … are you working on adding this?

I confess to being disillusioned with the watch - conceptually brilliant ..in practice frustrating.

Can you guys share what your dev roadmap is fir v3?

Hi Gordon, I'm afraid we can't share our roadmap but if you sign up for the newsletter we often share news on a new feature release before its released.

Stableford points is something that we are looking into.

Jamie - 2 years ago (according to this) you said you were working on it …. When could it be expected? Another 2 years ? Sorry but it really can’t be that hard mate?

Hi Gordon, we can do it and have planned out how this would work but its about looking at every feature we can build and the amount of requests from customers about each one, we get lots of requests and its about building out the most desirable ones. Until its selected for development I couldn't tell you how long it will be I'm afraid.

I would also add that the task has been made much more difficult with the addition of course handicaps. You now need to know what everyones handicap would be at every course off every tee set. Something we can get around but added difficulty for sure.

I hear you on course handicaps but that could be introduced later ..When I put my course handicap in and I know what the SI is for every hole (it’s the same regardless of whoever is playing after all) … I am genuinely struggling to understand why the course handicap makes any difference ..do the basics first (and I can’t believe this isn’t a big ask from the community) … how else do we influence your roadmap since it’s not published ?

i got a fw. Update the other day ..no idea what was in it …

    Two very simple to implement but extremely useful functions;

    1) Possibility to set type of round (stroke/stableford) with checkbox.

    a) If stroke show number of total shots, if Stableford do NOT show number of strokes rather a box which you fill in the points yourself.

     b) Option: Calculate to points versus Par.  Anything is better than having number of shots displayed for a round where you picked up the ball a few times.

    c) Option: At least have a "delete hole" option so that Shotscope displays "72 shots / 15 holes played".

Any update regarding adding stableford scoring yet? I think the majority of users are wanting this and would be a huge stepping stone for ShotScope.
    Thanks

I have logged in today and now have an option to add stroke index for each hole, so I thought I would get stableford points as part of my scorecard. However, this doesn't seem to be an option. Is thie stableford scoring option available, or is it going to be available soon?

If it can be shown now, how do I set it up?

I don't need stroke index, I just need the ability to put a zero on my score on the watch. I can do the calculation myself on each hole - at the moment I simply put in a score on my watch and if I blob I put a one in, one point I score a two, three points I put a four in. Then, when I get to the end of the round I take eighteen off my gross score shown on the watch and that is my Stableford for the round. No need for stroke index or anything like that, just keep it simple.

Surely it can't be hard to just put a zero on the numbers you can add for a score. That would give a fix without worrying about course handicaps, stroke indexes, tee colours etc. Don't make it so complicated for yourselves.

4 years and counting. My Garmin s62 have this feature. However your web app, even how you see the obstacles in the watch, is much better than theirs. The lack of Stableford scoring is unnatural in any golf scoring app in 2024. I have no problem entering manually the stroke index of the tees on the courses that I play.

    Thanks
