David, we will have a look at Tom Tom. My understanding is they record a general shot and the clubs need to be entered later so the products do work differently but we will go have a look at this and feedback to the team.

The watch needs to show your score and allow you to over-ride. My watch is usually out on about 4 holes in every round. Either missed a shot or recorded something that didn’t happen. Why not sync to phone as you go and use the phone to fix the errors…?

Wow, the ShotScope doesn't count your score! That is unbelievable. I would never have thought to check whether the Shotscope watch would be able to do this. I have owned a Tomtom watch for like 5 years and it was basically the only functionality I used (besides yardages). I switched to ShotScope because I wanted to see the club stats. I didn't think I would lose this function.

So I guess what you are suggesting is keeping the score on the scorecard (you know, with a pencil, like in the old days) and then correcting the score online?

This seems like an awfully easy thing to correct, since you are already displaying the last used club on the watch. You just need to show the number of times that that changed. If the watch would show the calculated number every time after PinCollect and allowed us to correct it irrespective of the other stats, we can keep our scores. Just like on my old and trusty Tomtom.

Count me as a vote for developing the mobile app software to receive the data in real time so you can follow it during your round.

yeah, the lack of "after hole inspection" of shot count is a bummer :/ Especially when the watch occasionally "loose" a shot here and there... I imagine this could be a real pain in the ass editing it out and figuring out where I've lost my "few" shots... Maybe the app can store this data ? Guys, it's a deal breaker for many of us :(

Moreover, if the shotscope doesn't keep your score, why do you publish statistics on the score? The score on the watch will probably be garbage, because it misses dropped balls or picked up holes. So the statistics on the scores are just as garbage

i just use mine for GPS now ..its pretty useless for anything else.... I doubt they can make this change due to the architecture of the watch (both Sw and HW)

Definitely I agree with this "You just need to show the number of times that changed. If the watch would show the calculated number every time after PinCollect". It is enough to check my score and eventually mark that this hole needs to be fixed after a round.
So instead of displaying "Recorded" just show something like "Recorded 5 shots"
