The following article explains why the straps on V3, G3 and V2 are configured the way they are.
Although it might look wrong, the watch straps are on the correct way for our products to work. The watch uses RFID technology housed in the strap (the strap without the buckle) therefore this strap has to be on the side closest to where the tags pass when in your clubs (V3 and V2). As a result, we have had to design the watch strap differently to most watches.
If you swap around the straps by attaching the buckle strap to the top of the watch and the non buckle strap to the bottom of the watch then this will cause shot detection issues.

This might be a design feature, but it should be improved.
I found my strap continually becoming unbuckled because it is not strong enough to hold all the time.
Slight annoyance.
I agree, its a very poor design, forever catching the strap and it becomes unbuckled.
what happens when strap wears out ?
My strap has broken, Where can I get a new one?
Can't find anything on this website.
The strap retaining lug on my watch has now pinged out completely whilst playing and got lost, can I get a replacement, if so where from, if not can i have a replacement watch as its still under guarantee and no longer usable..

Very poor design indeed. It's coming out too often since the long strap get into clothes and things easily. That's why every watches are designed that way.
Yeah. I thought the problem was my small wrists but the catch on the buckle doesn't sit comfortably and the clip at the end of the other strap won't stay in place. Continually catches on clothing when putting on / taking off sleeved tops and waterproofs.
Needs a re-think.
We have redesigned the strap peg to be a little bigger and this had improved the performance of the strap considerably. If you email us at support@shotscope.com we will send you out a new strap peg free of charge.
Jamie,
Very kind. Thank you sir.
All the Hairy Chest!
Cheers!
Yes. My buckle sheered yesterday. Cheap plastic. Also they peg constantly pops out. I'm not buying the whole the strap needs to be like that to work....just bad design. I've had noting but bother with my watch since I got it. Let's see how I get on with support trying to get a new buckle.
Hi David,
I have created a ticket for you and we will arrange for a new buckle to be sent out.
As per other comments, the peg on my (really irritating) strap has fallen out. Can you send a couple of the new pegs to me. Thank you.
Hi Simon,

The buckle on my band broke. I ordered, paid for, and received a new buckle. I have encountered an issue with installing the band I received. One of the tiny screws broke off inside the threaded insert which was secured inside the screw hole of the watch frame and the insert with the broken screw in it came out of the watch. Now, there is nothing to put the new screw into and therefore no way to securely to attach the band.
What course of action do you suggest?
Just received my new x5. Why didn't you put the sensors in the other part of the strap so the strap buckle is at the top, like every other watch in the world? So fiddly to get on.
